A Glance at a Recent Renovation
This family wanted to revamp their basement bathroom to better suit their teenage kids. The remodel was extensive, involving the removal of sections of the concrete floor to relocate plumbing and install new drain lines for additional fixtures elsewhere in the house.
The shower was expanded and enhanced with a full-length bench along the back wall, seamlessly transitioning from the shower into the adjacent changing area. To ensure comfort, heated floors were installed to combat the naturally cold basement subfloor.
Design-wise, the shower floor was tiled with pebble stones, creating a natural, textured feel, while large-format tiles were used for the walls to provide a sleek and modern look. A custom wooden beam was added to conceal the structural I-beam, adding a touch of rustic charm, and the vanity was updated to complete the transformation.
